Stella Nordhagen is a Senior Technical Specialist with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), where she oversees research and learning activities related to food systems. Her areas of research interest include market-based approaches to improving diets and nutrition, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, gender equity, food environments, and food choice. Prior to joining GAIN, she worked with the NGO Helen Keller International in West Africa for several years; her previous experience also includes work with the Harvard Initiative for Global Health, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluations, and the International Center for Research on Women. Dr Nordhagen holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MPhil and PhD from the University of Cambridge.
